Our Mission: Sharing the love, hope, and good news of Jesus Christ with children who are, or have been, in the foster care system.
We offer free Christ-Centered services to youth with a foster care background, regardless of current "case status." Our biggest avenue for this right now is through an annual, overnight summer camp held in early/mid-June. We have just recently started mentoring campers and graduates in the "off season" to deepen relationships and be a place of stability and peace as they process their current and previous trauma and baggage and search out an everlasting hope.

Describe Candidate Requirements (professional qualifications, experience, time commitment, etc.): We are looking for board member candidates with a strong, Christian faith. In addition to this, we are seeking individuals with backgrounds in fundraising, finances and accounting, HR policy, volunteer recruitment, and non-profit law/policy. We are willing to consider individuals with any amount of experience.

History and Programs: Community Connections for Children, (formerly, Child Care Consultants (CCC) was founded in 1987 to respond to community needs related to childcare. We became a United Way of York County partner agency shortly thereafter and started our Connections to Caregiving program, a one-of-kind program in PA that helps individuals open DHS Certified home-based family childcare programs. We serve as the Early Learning Resource Center for Region 9 (Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry and Lebanon counties) and Region 10 (York, Adams, Lancaster).
We administer the following programs:
• Child Care Works program, which provides financial assistance to low-income working families to help them pay for childcare.
• Keystone STARS program, in which we provide coaching, training, technical assistance to all types of early childhood education programs (centers, home-based, Pre-K Counts, private academic preschools, Early Head Start, and Head Start) to help them improve the quality of care they provide,
• Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for home based providers and small centers to assist them in serving nutritious meals that follow USDA guidelines.
• Parents as Teachers, a research based national home-visiting program that serves families prenatally through kindergarten.
• Resource & Referral services to help families find child care programs (any type) and connect with needed services such as EI, IU, WIC, SNAP, CHIP, etc.
• First 10, a national readiness program focused on the first ten years of life and ensuring that all children enter school prepared to be successful. It provides play and learn groups, joint PD between ECE and K-12 teachers, alignment of early literacy initiatives, family engagement, etc.
• Connections Program helps individuals looking to become DHS Certified Homebased Family Providers become certified and supports them as small business owners.
• ECHO a new privately funded initiative in York County to increase the capacity of high-quality early childhood education through innovative strategies.

Child Care is critical for the current and future workforce and economy. It also lays the foundation for success in school and life. CCC Board meets every other month with committee meetings on the alternating months. Meetings are hybrid/virtual. Describe Candidate Requirements (professional qualifications, experience, time commitment, etc.): PIRC is seeking board members to serve out unexpired terms or a full three-year term. We are especially interested in recruiting a treasurer for the board.
Ideal candidates have a passion for supporting immigrants' rights, especially access to legal services for those facing deportation or immigrant survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, and other violent crimes.
The board currently meets quarterly for two hour meetings. Committee meetings are held in between board meetings, usually one each quarter. The meetings are held at the PIRC offices in York, and are hybrid with Zoom (we have some board members who live outside of York County). Time commitment would be 2-3 hours per month.
Besides board meetings, we ask board members to support our annual Light of Liberty event, which is usually in September. This event recognizes the work of our partners and community members making a difference in supporting immigrants locally and across the state.
We are actively recruiting a treasurer for the Board. This position would require monthly meetings with the executive director to review financials and to prepare a report for the quarterly board meetings. Someone with a financial background who can report out on nonprofit organization financials is ideal.

Our Mission: Our organizational creed provides excellence in the historical portrayal of Military Entertainment Events to gather and honor American Veterans through period portrayal events. Our goal is to enhance awareness through entertainment, reenactments, period food recreations, room bookings for veterans, airport transportation, living history accountings, and video recordings.
No alcoholic beverages will be served at our events, as they are always to be family oriented. A Military chaplain will always be present at all our events, and Taps will be played honoring veterans, living and deceased. My committee and staff are held to the highest standards of integrity, and professional customer service. We will provide exceptional care for the needs of attending veterans. Entertainment accuracy is essential to portrayals of conflict periods in U.S. military history. 2024 will be the year to honor all women of WW2, from the home front, working in the factories, the farms, the military branches all across America and overseas. In the coming years as our organization matures, we will continue to honor veterans of all armed conflicts to include the Korean War, Vietnam, Gulf War, and current American commitments abroad. We strive to provide period entertainment, great food, and fellowship to our veterans and their families. Why can’t our veterans enjoy a day off and become 18 once more, swinging to Glen Miller, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, the Grass Roots or any current musical genre down the road.
Let us always remember the sacrifices made by all our American Patriots, with so many making the ultimate sacrifice to keep our amazing country free. We will never forget them. Please remember to thank a serviceman or servicewomen, when you see them. They are our current “Greatest Generation” and deserve your continued support, a simple thank you for their service is required.

I am Ron, a retired Navy Veteran, and the CEO of the American Veterans Honor & Reflective Remembrance Committee. I had envisioned forming this nonprofit for many years. My first event was amazing at Valley Forge Military Academy on 21 October 2023. The organization has growing pains with two planned events in 2024. My goal is to fill the open positions on my present committee of me, myself and I in 2024.
I’m so honored to bring this first event to life. We plan to move forward with plans to expand honoring and remembrance to veterans of Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and all conflicts post WW2. My team is amazing and very dedicated to serving all our veterans with top-notch entertainment and period cuisine.
